The skating rink is nestled in wooded surroundings and provides the center for a busy ice-skating program for all ages. After an invigorating workout on the ice, skaters can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, a warm fire and the view of other skaters from the window in "Pat's House." The Beacon Blades is a skating club for girls and boys who are interested in improving their figure-skating skills. Lessons for adults and children are available and there are general skating hours throughout the week. The highlights of the season are the annual mid-winter Ice Show, the season-ending Blades Recital and Teen Skate Night.
